Four local villagers, including a pregnant woman from Nampai village in Narsai Tract, Namtu Township, were hit by artillery shells on December 10 due to fighting between Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) and Shan State Progressive Party (SSPP) and Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) and are being treated at Namtu Hospital.
Ko Chit Hmay from Mitta Shin Social Association told TWO, “We went up to the area last night around 6:00 pm as people informed that there are patients with artillery shall injury. Four people were wounded. A pregnant woman was among them. She was hit at her hand and could not move. We can say her injury was serious. We reached to hospital around 8:00 pm.”
Among the injured, a pregnant woman and a man were seriously injured and the other two two men were slightly injured and not in critical condition. They were being treated at Namtu People’s Hospital, he added. Hundreds of villagers have to flee from their home due to the fighting between RCSS/SSA and SSPP၊ TNLA started from December 9.
