At around 1:30 a.m. on September 6 (today), 11 people were killed and 12 were injured in an aerial bombardment by the Terror Military Council without any fighting occurring in Namkham.
“I didn’t hear the sound of the plane coming. I only heard it after the first explosion. There were 2 explosions. It hit the west side of the night market and near the Kyar Phyu Hall, causing a lot of damage,” said a local who knew about the incident.
A social volunteer organization sent the injured people to the hospital.
Due to the aerial bombardment, members of a whole family, including children and a pregnant mother, were killed, and many others were injured. Many houses and a shop selling electronic goods as well as some buildings were burned and destroyed. The Ta’ang Women’s Organization will mention the details of the damages soon.
