Three Civilians Killed and Over 15 Injured in Aerial Bombardment By The Military Council in TNLA-Controlled Mong Ngao and Kutkai In The Same Day
On the morning of 17 November at 11:40 a.m., the Military Council conducted its first aerial bombardment using a jet fighter in Mang Lone Ward, Mang Ngao Sub-township, Kyaukme District controlled by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA), 5 civilians were injured in the attack.
Similarly on the same day, at around midnight at 11:47 p.m., 3 people including a mother and child were killed and nearly 10 people were injured due to bombing again at Ward (3) in Kutkai, a female resident said.
The woman said, “When I went to see the site this morning, the authorities didn’t allow me to go inside. The bomb was dropped at the Chinese Baptist Christian Church, and many people were hit. I could only observe from in front of the church. The road was blocked at the entrance of the KK Hotel. Only authorized personnel could enter. We can take pictures from the outside but cannot see the inside clearly. A mother and her child died, along with another woman. The people around there were hit. The plane went back after dropping the bomb and didn’t come back. Last time, the place came back and shot.”
The aerial bombardments in Mong Ngao injured people were as followed:
Daw Mya Khine (59 years) was hit at her neck, Daw Kham Sar (74 years) was hit at her thigh and hand, Daw Kham Mon (62 years) was hit at her left foot, Daw Mya Sein (49 years) at her thigh and right shoulder and back and Ko Aik Khe (29 years) was his on his left hand.
In addition, 22 houses were damaged at Mang Lone Ward, Mong Ngao and total 6 houses of U Thein Aung, Kaw Aye Nyein, Daw Saw Aye, U San Myat, Daw Kham Sar and Daw Kham Mon were completely destroyed, said a resident from Mong Ngao.
