Three Locals Killed, 10 Injured in Aerial Bombing by the Terror Military Council in Loi Hawng Village, Lawksawk—Urgent Medical Assistance Needed 

Three locals were killed and 10 others were injured in an airstrike by the Terror Military Council on January 16, 2025, in Loi Hawng village, Kyauk Gu village tract, Lawksawk Township, southern Shan State. The injured need help for medical treatment. 

A local man told the Ta’ang Women’s Organization, “They were gathered in a house. When they heard the sound of the airplane, they ran out and the plane dropped a bomb in front of them. Two of them are getting treatment at Taunggyi Hospital. Others, whose injuries were not serious, were treated at the village. One got treatment at the village as he could not pay for medical expenses. A one-year-old child has recovered.”  

The DPLA troops treated the injured villagers in the village. Ma Than Wah (30), who was seriously wounded in the arm, shoulder, and heart, and Maung Soe Moe Kaung (14), who had his left leg amputated below the knee, are still receiving treatment at Taunggyi Hospital and are still in need of assistance.

“Seven injured people were left in the village. Six were not seriously injured. One was treated in Inndaw and two were treated in Taunggyi. In addition, the military council shot dead a Kyaukgu villager”, said the same villager. 

Ko Hta Mar, due to the financial constraint, could not go and get treatment at the hospital was getting treatment at the village through his own way. 

The Ta’ang Women’s Organization continues to investigate further details regarding the Kyaukgu villager who was killed by the Terror Military Council.
