A Local Killed, Three Injured Due to Airstrike At Mongton and Mong Ngoc 

A local man was killed and three others were injured after a Terror Military Council aircraft dropped two 500-lb bombs at Aung Chan Tha ward in Mongton Township under control of the Ta’ang Naitonal Liberation Army (TNLA). 

Yesterday on May 12 around 10:30 pm, bomb attacks by the planes of the Terror Military Council at Aung Chan Tha ward, Mongton Township and also damaged 27 civilian houses. ‎

‎”Yesterday, they attacked at 2 places. A man was killed. He is a Burman national. Three people were injured, but not very seriously. Many houses were damaged, and more than 20 houses, including 10 houses, were totally destroyed. The other 10 houses were also damaged due to the bombs,” a local said. 

Similarly, Mong Ngoc town, which was also under the control of Ta’ang National Liberation Army, was attacked by about 12 bombs dropped by plane at around 7:40 pm. 

A man from Mong Ngoc said, “One dropped at Monglon ward near the office of the  in charge of educatoin. Another one was dropped behind the No. 1 State High School at Tarlon Ward. Another 10 bombs dropped in the paddy field in front of the school.” 

No one was hurt in the bomb attacks at Mong Ngoc, the local man continued. 

‎After the negotiation failed between the Terror Military Council and Ta’ang National Liberation Army, the Military Council launched aerial attacks at Mogok, Mongton, Mong Ngoc and Nawngkhio townships which were under control of TNLA.
