Monk Injured, Monastery Damaged in Kyaukme 11-Mile Village Airstrike

Last night, on October 18, at 8:30 p.m., the 11-Mile Village, located on the main road between Kyaukme and Mong Ngao, was bombed by the Terror Military Council.
The bombing injured one monk, and subsequent investigation confirmed that a monastery building, areligious hall, and the pagoda all sustained damage.
A local man familiar with the incident reported, “The monk was hit by the bricks and concrete which flew by the blast force, but his injuries are not very serious.”
The injured, identified as U Wimala (Age- 60 and being in monkhood for 40 years), is currently receiving treatment at Mong Ngao Hospital, the man added.
On the afternoon of the 19th, the monastery in Loi Pain Village, Mong Ngao Township, was again bombed from the air by the terror military council, causing damage to the Sala shelter and the monastery.
