Airstrike Bombing in Panmahteik village, east of Mogok, Kills 2 Children and Injures 12 Including 7-month-oldInfant

The Myanmar Military Council has been carrying out airstrikes bombing on civilian areas in Mogok since June, without any fighting.

On July 9, at 8:07 p.m., two airstrikes were carried out in Panmahteik village, east of Mogok, killing 2 children and injuring 12 residents, including a 7-month-old and two 7-year-old children, according to the investigationand documentation. 

Nidang, 12, and Kidang, 8, from the Gorkha ethnic group, were killed.

Along with 7-month-old Lway Hnin Wai Htun and 7-year-old Mai Kyaw Zin Latt, Ko Nay Oo, 25, Ma Shwe Hmoon, Ma Kham Mew, 21, U Aung, 27, and Sangaa, 30, U Htun Oo, 28, Ko Kyaw Zin Latt, 29, Gorkha ethnicDaw Dilar Devi, 37, and U Kire (S) were injured.

“The patients arrived at the hospital (MogoK), the list was made. There are a lot of patients, there are two dead bodies of children. One died after arrival at the hospital,” said nurse Lway, who was treating them.
