Mogok’s Famous Golden Butterfly Hotel Airstrike bombed by the Terror Military Council, 1 local man killed, 3 injured

The Terror Military Council has reportedly bombed the Golden Butterfly Hotel, located between the west and east of Mogok, it was learnt.
The Golden Butterfly Hotel was targeted by airstrikes bombing at 4:58 pm on the 26 July, destroying the entire hotel building with a 250-pound bomb, according to Mogok Township Chief Mai Khu Rat (Weachat).
“I was working on the road connecting Mogok and Mong Lon. So I couldn’t go to the hotel. Not many people were hit. Two people who were working on the masonry work were injured. They came on two motorcycles. The one who rode in front died. The one on the back was slightly injured. Only two people were injured. The buildings were mostly damaged,” he told TWO.
“They were workers, not people sleeping there. The area was empty when the bombs were dropped, and the dormitory where people were sleeping was not hit,” he said.

One man was killed and three others were injured, and much of the Golden Butterfly building was damaged.
