Today, October 7, at 1:10 p.m., the terror military council launched an airstrike bombing on Mai Hung Village in Monglon Township, controlled by the Ta’ang National Liberation Army -PSLF/TNLA.

Two 500-pound bombs were dropped without any fighting taking place, on Maike Hung Village in the Nam KhoneVillage Tract of Monglon Township, killing ten people—five women and five men, including a child—and injuring three others, said a local resident.

A local man said, “Yes, this Mai Hung Village, near Yadanar Theingi Village, is in Mong Lon Township. Their village is a remote village, and there are no villages around. You have to travel a long way from the Mogok Main Road. They are not Ta’ang villages; they are Shan villages.”

The dead included Maung Aik Oo (2 years old), Ko Aik Htat (27), Ko Aung Sa (29), Ko Sai San Pwint (35), Ko Aik Kyan Sa (37), Daw Ohn Khin (45), Nang Khin Pa (29), Nang Hla Saing (25), Nang Aye Tat (22), and Daw Nang Aye May (39).

In addition, three unidentified locals were also injured, and six houses were damaged.

Earlier today, at 6:30 a.m., the terror military council targeted the Pobbar Yon Monastery in Ward 8 of Namtu, destroying almost the entire school building.
