School Targeted by the Terror Military Council Airstrike in Namtu

At 8:30 a.m. today, the Terror Military Council dropped three bombs from a plane on the No. (1) S. H. S school in Namtu town.

A local man from Namtu who was aware of the incident said, “A bomb fell in front of the school, and one landed Pan Heik Quarter. Three women were hit, one in the buttocks, but the injury was not very severe.”

On October 2, the Military Council dropped bombs on Ward (8) of Namtu. On October 6, they attacked Ward (2) of the city center. The following day, October 7, the Military Council again dropped bombs on Ward (8) of Namtu, killing three displaced persons from Kyaukme Township and one local woman. These attacks injured six others and damaged at least 20 houses.

Similarly, at around 8 a.m. this morning, the Terror Military Council dropped two 250-pound bombs on Ho Mein village in Namsan Township, killing three people: 15-year-old Lol Sandar Win, 15-year-old Lol Sabai Nyunt, and 55-year-old U Kon Nwe.

In addition, two people, 20-year-old Lway Nila Kyaw and 40-year-old Daw Aye Swe, were injured in the bomb blast, and five houses were damaged, according to a statement from the Ta’ang National Liberation Front (PSLF/TNLA).
