Terror Military Council Airstrike Hits Totsan Village, Injuring Child

The Terror Military Council bombed Totsan village, Monglon sub-township, Kyaukme District, in an airstrike. 

In the incident, at around 1:30 p.m. yesterday, a man with knowledge of the incident reported that a child was injured when the Terror Military Council dropped a 250-pound bomb.

“They dropped at 1:45 p.m. One child was also injured. Ngao Loi Ying hill was also hit. Two houses and a monastery were destroyed in the village. The area they bombed is where the SSPP is currently stationed,” he told TWO.

Both the Shan State Progressive Party (SSPP/SSA) troops and the Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) troops are currently stationed in Totsan village.

According to records collected by the Ta’ang Women’s Organization (TWO), from October 1 to October 11, 26 people, including 7 children, were killed and 36 others injured in airstrikes in Mogok, Momeik (Möng Mit), Kyaukme, Hsipaw, Namtu, Mantong, and Namsan townships, despite the absence of ground fighting.
