Monastery in Mong Lon Area Bombed by the Terror Military Council, a Nun and a Woman Killed

On August 29 at 10:30 PM, the terror military council bombed the monastery in Pan Tha Pyay Village, Nam Khone Village Tract, Mong Lon Township.
The terror military council bombed the monastery in Pan Tha Pyay Village with four 250-pound bombs from a jet fighter, killing a nun and a woman, and injuring 2 monks, 3 novices and a man, according to a Mong Lon resident.
“In Pan Tha Pyay village, on the Mogok- Nawngkhio road, (the bombs) were dropped at night. They hit the monastery and the nuns. The sound was so loud that it could be heard as far as Myo Thit and Pan Sri. There was also a drone drop before that night,” he told TWO.
The 250-pound bomb killed 40-year-old nun Yar Aye Aye and 43-year-old Daw Aye Owa. In addition, two monks, three young novices, and a local man were injured and are receiving treatment in Pan Tha Pyay village.

Four houses, a monastery, a Sala, and a nunnery monastery were also damaged.
Before the jet fighter came to bomb, on the night of August 28, a suicide drone bombed near a wall of the monastery in Pan Tha Pyay village, but no residents were injured.
At around 10 pm on August 30, the Terror Military Council carried out another airstrike- bombing at Loi Khor village, Hutaung village tract, Kyaukme township, damaging four houses, but no civilian casualties were reported as villagers had already run away.
