Military Council Bombs Mogok, 20, Including a Pregnant Woman, Killed, and 5 Injured
The terror military council launched another airstrike on Mogok, controlled by the Ta’ang National LiberationArmy – PSLF/TNLA, at 8:30 p.m last night, killing 20 people and injuring 5 others.
The airstrike targeted the Lin Yaung Chi Monastery in the Shwe Gu Ward in eastern Mogok, killing 5 men and 15 women, including a pregnant woman and a child.
A man familiar with the incident told TWO, “As far as we know from last night, there are already too many bodies, and people are still clearing them up this morning. More bodies may be found. Bodies that are scattered all over the place have not been put in the bags. We don’t know who they are, and some of the injured are in critical condition. We can’t sleep all night after seeing them”.

The persons killed in the airstrike bombing were Ko Htun Naing, 30, Aung Ko Chit, Ko Min Min Oo, ShineThuta, Ah Nge Gaung- Ko Yin Lay, Ma Oo, Daw Tin Tin Win, Hla Kay Khine Moe, a pregnant mother- Ma Myat Kay Thwe, Ma Phyu, Nyein Ei San, Ma Win Mar, Po Po Chit, Daw Hmwe, Daw Cho Win, Pa Pa Phyo, Ma Yin, Ma Zin Phyo Oo, Daw Wai, 36, and Ma Aye Naing.
Aung Zaw Htet, 30, Zaw Min Htwe, 29, Moe Myint Zaw, 16, Aung Htet Oo, 25, and Wai Yan Soe, 29, were seriously injured.
The Ta’ang National Liberation Army (TNLA) said the airstrike bombing destroyed a monastery and seven houses.
On August 9, the military council bombed Kyauk Nagar village in Thaduk Sho village tract, east of Mogok, killing five people and injuring four others.
Similarly, on August 2, the terror military council dropped two 250-pound bombs from a jet fighter in the Kyat Pyin group, western Mogok, killing 12 people, including a child and a monk, and injuring 13 others, as well as damaging at least 10 houses.

According to the Ta’ang Women’s Organization, 57 people, including 12 children, were killed in airstrikebombings from January to August 14, and 87 people, including 4 children were injured.
