A Man Dies after Stepping on a landmine planted by TNLA in Kyaukme
October 19
A man from South Kyushaw Village, Kyaukme Township, died after stepping on a mine at around 2 pm on October 12.
The man, a 52-year-old Takone Swe, was killed when he stepped on a mine planted by the TNLA on his way back from his farm.

A monk from Kyushaw North village said, “I will send you a picture, but don’t post it on social media. The soldiers will cause trouble for the villagers from Kyushaw South who took the picture. It will be difficult to get the names of the battalion and the commander of the perpetrator. At such an important time, no one dares to ask. The main reason is that the main road is often used to carry soy beans, and the main road is where the mines are planted, because the soy bean routes are to show the way for military council soldiers.”
