One Child Killed, Another One Seriously Injured and Needed Money for Treatment After Playing With a Weapon Left in War
Two children at Taung Thone Lone village, Namtu township, Kyaukme District in northern Shan State played a thing that left from the war and it blasted. One child was killed and another one was seriously injured and needed money for the treatment.
Around 1 pm., on March 3, there was a blast when two brothers, Maung Tun Win and Maung Htay Naing Win were playing a weapon which is not yet blasted while they were looking after their goats.
One of their family members said, “They two were looking after the goats in the jungle near the village and found a heavy weaponry shell. As they are children, they didn’t know it is dangerous. So, they took it and played with it until it blasted. The blast hit both of them, killing the elder brother and seriously injuring the younger brother.”
Fourteen-year-old Maung Tun Win and Ten-year-old Maung Htay Win have another brother and three of them are doing daily casual jobs looking after their differently-abled parents, according to a close person to the family.
Maung Htay Win Naing who was seriously injured was wounded heavily in the head, hand, thigh, and legs as well as he had several sharpener wounds on his body and he is needing help his medical treatment.
