RCSS arrest Pan Law villager

On June 22, 2017, The Restoration Council of Shan State arrested Ko Aik Kyam from Pan Law village, Loi Pyae, Namtu, Northern Shan State and he is missing till today.

Ko Aik Kyam’s wife said, “He was planning to visit his friend in Lashio but his friend was not home. So he went to his friend in Nar Saing to give wasted beer bottles he collected. Then he didn’t come back. He disappeared. Some people said Shan soldiers arrested him. Now I haven’t heard anything about him and his motorbike.”

When Aik Kyam disappeared, the village authorities including village chief contacted RCSS troops in Pan Saing and Kun Kan village but they denied to have arrested Aik Kyam.

A witness told Aik Kyam’s family that he saw RCSS arrested Aik Kyam on the way back from Nar Saing village.
